Triple Cream, Triple Paste, and Triple Wash Review.

Ok to start with, these products were sent to me free of charge to test and review. This in NO way effects my opinions on the products!

Triple Cream for eczema prices varied between $8-$14.

Ok, I will start with Triple Cream first. The company sent me a few sample size tubes of the Triple Cream, which is defined as the premium dry skin and eczema formula. I found that the sample size tubes are perfect size for my little man, Chandler, to carry in his pocket so that when he starts to feel itchy, he can take it out and apply a little bit of the cream on himself. We have been using this as an in between treatments moisturizer. This cream seems to work very nicely to relieve itchiness in-between treatments. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for relief of itchiness.

Triple Paste for diaper rash prices vary.

Now for Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for diaper rash, the company sent me a few sample size tubes of this product. It is defined as The premium diaper rash treatment. It has a thick texture which makes it easy to coat babies bottom and create a barrier to keep out moisture from wet or dirty diapers. I have used this product a few times on my baby boy Seth. It has proved to be a very good diaper rash cream. I would recommend it to anyone who has a child in diapers.

Now for Triple Wash, it is a gentle diaper rash formula baby wash. It is a gentle tear free formula, I use it for Chandler's baths also, it is gental enough to not irritate his skin. I add it directly to the water which creates bubbles in the tub, which makes Chandler happy! He loves bubble baths, but most bath products cause his eczema to flair up. So we now have a safe bubble bath for him. I also use the wash for Seth, who recently had a case of diarrhea which caused him to have a rash. The wash was gentle and soothing on his sore bum. It also has a pleasant scent. This was the only full size product that the company sent me. I am very pleased with this product! I would without a doubt recommend this product to all who either have a baby prone to diaper rash or a child with sensitive skin.

Review on Remarlé ® LLC Skin Scrub for SEVERELY DRY SKIN, and Skin Moisturizing Shea Butter Cre'me.

This is the companies slogan/image.

Well to start off with, I received both of these products free of charge from the Remarlé ® LLC company to test and review. This in NO effects my honest review on the products! In fact, the owner of Remarle, Renee LeMasney, was uncertain about the ethical value of giving free products for reviews. I assured her that in NO way would it effect my honest opinion on the products. This was honestly the first time anyone had ever questioned this, which shows that this woman has values and moral!
This Is the Skin Scrub 4 oz container it is 19.99 for 8 oz.

  • Anyway on to my review. The Skin Scrub for SEVERELY DRY SKIN, is described as an exfoliant and moisturizer for dry, flaky, scaly, sensitive skin. It is recommended for those with Eczema and Psoriasis. It has no additives, chemicals, fragrances, parabens, or preservatives. The ingrediants list is:
  • Premium Pure Cane Sugar
  • Proprietary Blend of:
  • Prunus Armeniaca (apricot) Kernel Oil
  • Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower Oil)
  • Brassica Napus (Canola Oil)
  • Tocopherol (vitamin E)
The Directions for the product are as follows,
Gently massage into wet skin anywhere on the body. Rinse off and dry.
Pretty simple and strait forward!
There is a Caution warning underneath:
Natural oils may cause tub or shower surfaces to become slippery; exercise caution to avoid falling.

It then suggests that after use you should apply the Shea Butter Crème.

I have been using the Skin Scrub on Chandler for about a week now, I have also been using a few other products that I previously reviewed, I wanted to do a review using only the Remarlé products, but the others are really seeming to work for him and I didn't want to risk his skin by not using the other products, so I added the scrub and the shea butter to his routine. I really do not have any thing negative to say about the skin scrub, It seems to do a good job of removing the dead, dry, damaged skin. leaving fresh skin for the other moisturizers to work on. I would recommend the skin scrub over and over again!

This is the Shea Butter Crème 2 oz $18.99

Now for the Skin Moisturizing Shea Butter Crème, it is described as For the Body, Lips, Elbows, Feet, Eyes, and Face. No additives, chemicals, fragrances, parabens, or preservatives. The ingrediants list is as follows: Proprietary blend of:
  • Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)
  • Prunus Armeniaca (apricot) Kernel Oil
  • Carthamus Tinctorius (safflower Oil)
  • Brassica Napus (Canola Oil)
  • Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
The Directions for the Shea Butter Crème is:
Massage into skin anywhere on the body.
That shouldn't be too hard to figure out!
There is also a Caution on this container:
The American Shea Butter Institute recommends that you avoid using any shea butter products if you have nut allergies.
I had never even thought of that, good info. I do not have any nut allergies though, and neither do my children. But you never know.

I really didn't notice too much of a difference between this Shea Butter Crème and other Shea Butter Creams that I have used in the past. I used it a few times on Chandler, after using the Skin Scrub, but was not overly impressed with it. Not that it is bad, which it in no way is, it just didn't stand out any more than other shea butter creams I have used. And I decided that the After Shower Clear Lotion from a previous review was a better choice for applying after the Skin Scrub. I have been using the Shea Butter Crème on my own Elbows though, and it does seem to be softening them. I really wouldn't recommend this product much more than any other average Shea Butter Cream. But I would not totally banish this product either. It is a good moisturizer(Shea Butter is very good for moisturizing) I just can't pinpoint anything that sets it above the rest of the Shea Butters.

As for the Remarlé ® LLC company as a whole, I am very impressed, the owner Renee LeMasney, has great character and shows honesty. The packaging of the products is simple but effective, which shows me that they are more interested in what they put inside their jars than what it appears like on the outside. They have great customer service, Renee personally answered my request for reviewing her products. She has also followed up, inquiring how the products were working for Chan, which shows me that she actually cares. I would most highly recommend doing business with the   Remarlé company, and I am looking forward to trying some of the other products they have to offer in the future.

These Products and others can be purchased at the Remarele website.

Theraplex- Clear Lotion and Emolliant

Theraplex has a whole line of skin care products, a few of which are part of the National Eczema Association(NEA). I found Theraplex while skimming through the list of NEA approved medicines, looking for something that could help my son chandler's severe eczema. He has had eczema since he was about 2 weeks old. The poor little man has never really known what it's like to not be itchy. We have tried everything to try to relieve his symptoms, but have not had any luck. Doctors just say to use hydrocortisone cream and A&D ointment, which never really worked well. The rash would fade a little for a while, but would soon be back. We have bought so many over the counter creams, and remedies, have tried oatmeal baths, ACV baths just about everything that we could think of or that anyone advised. No Luck!! But when I wrote to Theraplex and they responded saying that they would be happy to have Chandler test out some of their products, It was a relief, a company who is backed by the NEA must be pretty good! And it turns out that they are! Theraplex sent me 2 full size products and a few sample packets of products. One of the full size products is called Theraplex Clear Lotion, it is for use just out of the bath or shower to replace the moisture that soaps can strip away, it is used before towel drying to  allow the skin to absorb moisture. It says on the bottle that it is a liquid petroleum formula. The list of ingredients for the clear lotion is:
  • mineral oil
  • cyclomethicone ( Cyclomethicone is a clear, odorless silicone)
  • jojoba oil
  • petroleum(special fraction)
I have been religiously using the clear lotion on Chandler's skin after every bath for the past 2 weeks. As soon as he steps out I apply it to his whole body and let it set for about 30 seconds before toweling him off. I then spray a coating of a product from another company (CapriClear) on the spots that have rashes on them. Then I follow up with the other full size product they sent which is called Theraplex Emollient, it contains the highest concentration of special petrolatum fraction for maximum effectiveness with out irritation to the skin. This product is a very thick jelly type substance, so it does not wash off easily and can be a little bit messy. Best to use only on trouble spots and apply a thin layer. It does work really well to hold in moisture and to soften dry skin. Chandler's skin has had quite a bit of improvement in the past 2 weeks. I am a true fan of Theraplex! I am sure that Chandler is too. I have yet to use any of the small sample packs they sent, but when I do I will post an update. I strongly urge anyone with problematic skin conditions to try these products. I am certain that I will be placing an order when I get low on these. You can find the full list of Theraplex products on their site http://www.theraplex.com/ .

Above is the Emollient. They have a 4.3 oz for $21 or an 8 oz for $35. Seems pricey, but a little bit goes a long way.

This is the bottle of clear lotion. It is an 8 oz bottle for $18.50.
Yes they are a bit expensive, I probably would have never tried them out if they had not been sent to me free, but I know now that they work on my little mans skin so it's worth the money to me.

These products were sent to me free of charge to test out and review. The fact that they were given to me has NO affect on my opinions of the product. My opinions are 100% truth of how I feel about the products.

CapriClear Spray Review

CapriClear has the seal of approval from NEA.

CapriClear spray on moisturizer is an all natural, unscented, hypoallergenic spray to relieve dry skin. I happened upon finding CapriClear while searching for products to help my son Chandler's eczema that he has been plagued with since he was just a tiny baby. He just turned 4 this past Monday, his twin sister Abigale does not have any skin issues at all.  They will be having their 4th birthday party this coming weekend, this may be the first birthday where we can take pictures of our little boy without major rashes all over. I don't know if any of you have an itchy, scratchy, rash covered child, but it makes a mother so happy to see that something is helping to relieve his constant digging and scratching at his skin. He seems happier, his whole attitude is changing. I ended up finding CapriClear on the National Eczema Association web site. They are on the list of medicines approved to help Eczema. I did not use CapriClear alone, I had also written to every other company on the list of eczema medicines and another company had responded to me around the same time. Both companies products arrived in the mail on the same day, so I incorporated them both into his routine. I will also be reviewing the other product in a separate post but the product brand name is Theraplex. I would use CapriClear in between applications of the other product, It really seems to help keep in moisture and prevent his skin from drying out. It is made from coconut oil, but they use some kind of technique to remove certain parts of the oil and then you are left with what they call fractionated coconut oil, and that is the only ingredient in the product. I was thinking that it was going to leave his skin all oily and sticky, but that was not the case. It absorbs pretty quickly leaving the skin softer and no oily residue. I also used a little bit on Seth when he was starting to get a little bit of diaper rash, and it seemed to help with that too. So if you are looking for something to help relieve dry, flakey, itchy skin then I would suggest that you add CapriClear to your daily routine.  It comes in 2 sizes the 5.4 oz for $16.99 and the travel size 1.6 oz for $6.99.  It may seem a little steep for a skin product, but I believe that it is well worth it! you can order it here http://www.capriclear.com/home.asp

This is what the bottle looks like.

This product was shipped to me for free to test out and review. This in NO way has affected my opinions on the product, my review is my honest opinions and thoughts on the product.

Now Is The Time.....

Now is the time for my first giveaway!! Good Luck!!

Ingenuity The Gentle Automatic Bouncer Sahara Burst

Well this is the third product that was sent to me from the Ingenuity company.  I haven't really used this product as much as the other 2. Seth doesn't really seem to connect with the bouncy chair as much. It does seem to be a very nice bouncy seat though. It is also made from the extremely soft, comfy material that the swing and dream center are made from. It's pattern is adorable and pretty gender neutral with elephants ( :) )  In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE elephants! It has a toy bar, with the same little stuffed elephants as the swing and dream center. It requires assembly, but is fairly easy (or maybe I just became pro at it after the swing). It requires 3 C batteries, which are not included (when will people start including these things?). It has a 30 minute automatic bouncing, plays a few different melodies and also has some natural sounds, which are quite soothing. It also has a removable pillow for added head support or comfort. I really need to find a place to buy a bigger one of these pillows for myself, they are so soft! All in all this seems like a really outstanding bouncer, I am really not sure why my little man doesn't seem to care for it. He used to have just a plain old boring bouncer that played distorted tunes and was just normal cotton material, nothing special about his old one at all. He seemed to like that one, until his sister Abigale, decided to try bouncing in it and broke it. Maybe he has just outgrown bouncy seats. I would recommend this seat to anyone looking for a quality bouncer for their little bundle of joy. I am very pleased with all 3 of the products that I was sent from the Ingenuity company, I have not been swayed by being given them for free. These are my honest opinions of the products.  This product can be purchased at Target, I am not sure if it is available through any other retailers.

Ingenuity ConvertMe Swing-2-Seat Sahara Burst Review

Ingenuity convertme swing2seat

Well if you are a faithful reader you will know that this product came to me with 2 other products a bouncer seat and a pack and play. I was really excited about this one though, cause my Sethy has never been in a baby swing before. So this was naturally the first thing I opened. Assembly required! Oh boy, I am not the best at putting these types of things together, hubby was showering at the time, so I decided to give it a go. I located the instruction booklet, flipped to the page I needed and grabed the first pieces I needed, they went together (Yay, I am doing it). Then on to the next step, was having a little bit harder time getting the pieces to go together the way they were supposed to but I kept at it.. I soon was frustrated and ready to give up though. So I yelled to Hubby to see if he was out of the shower yet, he was out but shaving (grrrr) ok I will keep trying. No luck, baby Seth is getting impatient now, I spot the leaf shaped plastic piece with the stuffed elephants hanging on it. Grab that and give it to Sethy to keep him happy while I try to finish building his swing. Chloe, my oldest daughter, comes in and plays with Seth. I continue on not make much progress. Finally my Hubby comes out of the bathroom, Just as I am trying to force 2 pieces together, I explain to him that they just don't want to cooperate. He says why don't you turn that one around the right way.. Oh... So I get that part together and look at the book for my next task. Screws, I have to put in the screws, I can do this part with no problem got that together. next part I need 4 screws. hmm 2 left in the package I just used and another pack of screws that has 2 in it.. They are different sizes, opps, time to unscrew the last part and switch them to the right size.. Hubby and kids are all watching me now (pretty sure they were all laughing inside) Finally after much difficulty I get it all together.. Then realize that it needs D batteries, I don't have any, oh well Seth can still sit in it and we can push him. Not a big deal. Go to grab Seth so he can finally test it out, he is ASLEEP!!(just my luck) When he finally woke up from his nap, I was able to put him in it. He LOVED it!!! He was so happy, laughing, squealing, and just having a good time. It is now his favorite place to relax with his baba and take a nap. When he starts to feel tierd while playing on the living room floor, he will grab his baba and crawl over to his swing and try to climb in it. Now to let you know the specs on it. The swing is made of the same supper soft fuzzy fabric as the dream center of the Washable pack and play, it has a really neat design, low to the floor. It looks so comfy, I wish I could fit in it! It also has a little detachable pillow. It plays music and has a timer and auto shutoff. I don't often use the music part, because Seth is addicted to "Baby Einstein Videos" and does not like to settle down without one on, so there is not much need for the music on the swing. But for babies who do not need to attend Baby Einstein's Anonymous I am sure that it is quite soothing. I really like this baby swing! I would recommend this swing for anyone looking for a nice cozy, relaxing place for their beloved baby to swing. I Just wish that these type of things came with AC adapters, nobody wants to be constantly searching for batteries. I am thinking that when the buttons are in the locked position that is when the swing becomes a seat.

I was given this product for free to try out and review. This in NO way has affected my opinion on the product. I always give my honest thoughts on each product I review.

InGenuity Washable Playard with Dream Centre - Sahara Burst Review

I received the Ingenuity Washable Play Yard With Dream Centre about 2 weeks ago. I had written to the Bright Starts, Kids II, Ingenuity company about a month before to see if they were interested in having me review any of their products on my site, They were one of the first companies that I had sent a request to and they were the first company to write back that they were interested, was a happy day for me! But anyway on to my review of the product. It arrived with 2 other InGenuity products a Bouncer and a Swing. It was the second of the 3 that I opened up. Set up was a little difficult, but not impossible. The instruction booklet could have been a little bit more descriptive, but I did find it humorous how at the end of telling you to attach parts it would always say "click, click, click". The material used for the dream center was super, super soft! My baby is already too big for the dream center part, so was not really able to fully use that part. I love the diaper changing station part!, it has an easy to clean cover incase of messy situations and the storage pockets on the side of the pack and play are easy to reach from the diaper changing spot, so if you have all your supplies in the pocket then there is no need to try to search around while trying to keep a squirmy baby in place (My Sethy is extremely squirmy!). I also attached the little elephant toy from the dream center to the diaper changing part to help occupy my little man while doing business. I love how the bottom part can be higher if you have a smaller baby, but again my baby boy is too big for that part, but I imagine that it would be very convenient for a small baby. The only thing that I did not really like about this pack and play is that the sides are a little bit too high, which could be good in a way, if you have a little one who likes to try to climb out, it could make that a little harder. But Seth likes to stand up and look over the rails at everybody and he likes to stand holding on to rails to dance to his "Baby Einstein Video's" and the sides on this one were a little too high for that. Also I think the edges could use a little bit more padding. Other than those 2 things, I really like the InGenuity Washable Play yard. The design, which has elephants (YAY) is really cute, colors are gender neutral. The fact that it can all be taken apart and thrown in the washer is awesome! Although I am afraid that will be quite a task to get it all apart and then back together. I will let you know when the time comes how that goes. All in all it is a very nice product and I would recommend it too others.

My camera on my phone seems to be malfunctioning right now, so I am just adding a picture from the Target website for now. This product can be purchased at Target I am not sure if it is sold through any other retailers. I received this product free from the company to test and review, but that in NO way affects my opinion on this product.

Coming Soon ***Dirty Laundry Segment***

While laying in bed last night, I had a brilliant idea. At least I think it is brilliant. I want to do a Laundry wars kind of thing. I have been writing to different laundry detergent and stain remover companies all morning, and I plan on trying them all out on a few different types of stains to see which ones work better for which types of stains. I think that it will be fun, and will give us all a better grasp on what to use to get rid of all the nasty little stains that young children seem to be magnets for. Hope all of the companies that I have written to will be as excited as I am! Well let me know what you guys think of my plan. Also leave me some comments on brands that you use and I will try to get them in on the experiment.

****Well so far Tide, Cheer, Dreft, and Gain have all declined my offer to be involved in my "Dirty Laundry" segment. But I have a few other brands that have not given me an answer yet. So we will see how this goes. I will keep you all posted.

Been A Little Under The Weather.

To anyone who has been checking up on my blog, or waiting for new reviews. I am sorry it has been a little while since my last post. For the past week I seem to have had some sort of bug and was not feeling to hot. I didn't even turn on my laptop pretty much all week. I did receive 2 new products that I will be posting reviews on real soon. They are both products for eczema, I have been trying them out on my 4 year old son Chandler, who has suffered from severe eczema since he was just a little baby. The products that I have received are both on the NEA(National Eczema Association) list of approved products. The company names are Capri Clear and Theraplex. So keep an eye out for my reviews on these products. still waiting on a few more things that are supposed to arrive in the mail, like the products from Ingenuity(Giveaway to follow with this review!). And I am hoping on a few book companies to have me reviewing some children's books. So keep on coming back and checking up. And Come ON SOMEONE please FOLLOW my blog!!! Oh and just to let you all know about my recent excitement in the AZ desert, The day before yesterday, while doing laundry outside, I had my first real close call with a Diamond Back Rattle Snake!! It was sooo SCARY!!! I was just walking around with my head in the clouds hanging the laundry on the line, I found a pair of ripped pants, and decided that I didn't want to keep washing a pair of pants that couldn't even be used so I decided to throw them in the burn barrel my husband had going. So I headed over there just humming a song to myself, oblivious to everything else, then "chchchcchch" the sound of the rattle and a snake striking towards me, I don't even really know how but I jumped backwards about 3 feet, then shaking and scared out of my mind. I look around for something to help, when I spy my brother on the other side of the fence.. So I yell " Clayton, Clayton, Clayton, HELP ME!" and he says "What?" and I say "Snake, there is a snake!", he says "Oh, what kind" (calm as day), "A rattle Snake"... So he comes over shovel in hand and messes with it for a minute or two with his shovel, before he beheads it and takes the rattle for a souvenir. He said that I was lucky that it was a cool day, cause the snake was really slow. I guess if it had been warmer it would have striked at me much quicker and probably wouldn't have missed me... Man Oh Man, I haven't gone outside since then before checking every direction before each step. I have seen them before and had some encounters with them in the past, but nothing quite as close as this one.. Don't want to have anymore like it either! Well just wanted to get that off my shoulders.. So please keep on checking up on my blog and watch for my new reviews..

Cosco Comfy Carry Infant Car Seat Review

We got this car seat at our *mobile baby shower, it was a gift from my mother. It has a really cute design, elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and monkeys. The new comfy carry handle took some getting used to though, always felt like I was holding the car seat sideways or something. The straps are pretty easy to adjust to accommodate your growing baby. My Sethy grows fast, so I was adjusting almost every time I put him in it(at least it seemed like it). The buckle though, I really don't like the buckle. It is very difficult to get both sides held together while buckling it into the other piece, especially with a squirmy baby.  Other than the buckle and getting used to the handle, it is a pretty decent car seat. It serves its purpose. Oh and it came with a base also, but I really don't see the point of the base, the seat does not snap into it or anything. I never ended up using the base. But not a bad car seat for the value $49.98 at Wal-Mart.

The pic came out a little dark but here is the car seat. For a better view you can visit the url below

*mobile baby shower:
The mobile baby shower was awesome, my mom and sister-in-law, Lisa, planned it. All the women in the family (well the ones who were not previously engaged) piled up in Lisa's minivan and went baby shopping, I wasn't allowed to spend any money. Then after all the shopping, we went out to eat at the Golden Coral! I think it was the best baby shower ever!

LadyBug Pillow Pet Mini Review

Chloe with her ladybug mini pillow pet.
10/26/11

"It's a pillow, it's a pet, it's a pillow pet"
We have all heard the jingle, probably walked around aimlessly humming the tune or singing the song... I know I have :) in fact I am humming it to myself right now, I'm sure I will be for days lol. But anyway we have serious business to conduct here, a review on this cute little mini ladybug. Chloe picked out her ladybug when her Aunty Trish and Uncle Andy took her shopping to pick out a birthday present for her 7th birthday. She had been dreaming the pillow pet dream for months along with most of the other children in the world. Yes, the pillow pet was wonderful, the material is soft and cuddly, it has just the right amount of fluff, when not being used as a pillow there is a Velcro strip on the bottom to make it appear more like a real creature.

Pillow pet as pillow and as creature.

It is well made, she has had it for just about 2 years now(in October) and the only damage it has sustained is the dog chewed the end of the antennas so they are a bit frayed. It is easily washed in the washing machine, I usually hang hers to dry. It is really remarkable how good of condition it is still in, it has traveled across the country, been on endless sleep overs, been camping, had things spilled on it and so much more.. I would say if you wish to be among those with the pillow pet dreams then go for it! If you are not into ladybugs there are lots of other characters to choose from.

Here are a few of the others..

Oh yeah, not sure how much her pillow pet cost, cause it was a gift, but it appears that they range from $9.99 to $25.. From my search on Google.

The Very Hungry Caterpiller book review

The Very hungry caterpillar is a wonderful book, written by Eric Carle. I started reading it to my oldest, Chloe, when she was a little over a year old. All of my children LOVE to listen to this story! Chloe now reads it to her younger brothers and sister, she is an awesome big sister! My son Patrick dressed as The Very Hungry Caterpillar for their school's dress like your favorite book character day. He was by far the cutest caterpillar ever! A must for your children's at home library..

DIEGO TRICYCLE Fisher Price Review ***So SAD, Just read this trike was RECALLED****

http://toys.about.com/od/toyrecalls/ss/Fisher-Price-Toy-Recall-Pictures-Recall-Pictures-Of-Fisher-Price-Recall-Trikes.htm

Sorry for recommending something that has been recalled. My kids never had any problems with the ignition, but I guess some did.

Both of my older sons Patrick and Chandler have both gotten this same tricycle for one of their birthday's, and so has my nephew Armondo. They are a good little trike for little boys. Pretty heavy duty and tuff. The seat lifts up for storage(to carry around dirt and friendly bugs, or sippy cups) but it also falls off quite often. All three of the boys seemed to prefer to just ride around without it. and would take it off on purpose after a while. So I guess it wasn't too much of a problem. It does not come fully assembled but DOES come with directions, so tell hubby or whoever is assembling to read them first. Otherwise you end up having to keep taking it back apart to figure out where the extra pieces go.. We learned this the first time around with Patrick's Diego trike, my brother who had bought him it for his B-Day gift tried to assemble without the directions, it was a mess ! But once it was all up and going he absolutely loved it! Drove it all around the house, the yard and anywhere else we would allow him to go. The other boys loved theirs just as much too. I would defiantly recommend this product for any little boys first trike. You wont regret it! OR MAYBE YOU WILL!!

****Fisher-Price recalled its toy trikes because dangerous plastic ignition keys caused genital injuries when children fell on them. If you have this recall toy at home you should remove it from children's reach immediately and contact Mattel for a free repair kit.****

Well I guess it can be repaired..

Hungry Hungry Hippo game review

This game is VERY easy to learn! You make the hippo's eat the balls by pressing a lever on their backs repeatedly. The player who has eaten the most at the end wins. All of my children, besides Seth (baby) can play this game well. They are all quite entertained by it. The off side to the game is that the hippos don't take a beating all that well, Green and yellow have had to have some minor surgery from my hubby and myself, mostly involving super glue. Their heads had fallen off. and the levers seem to be getting a little loose, not sure how much longer they will withstand. I'm not sure how much our particular game was because it was a gift for one of the children. On the Wal-Mart site it is listed at $15.98 not too bad of a price, but I personally would wait for it to go on sale. I would recommend this game for children of all ages(and for mommy and daddy too) Just remember that the hippos can only take so much.. :)

Candy Land Review

One for the older Candy Land, a classic game. I played it when I was a kid, as I am sure most of you did also. Well we bought the game around Christmas time this past year, it was on sale for like $9 which is a really good deal cause I just looked it up at Walmart.com and it is $26.67. It still is pretty true to it's old style, set up, and rules. My two older kids Chloe (almost 9) and Patrick (6) get the rules and strategy of the game quite well. My twins who are almost 4, Abigale and Chandler, don't quite understand it yet. Chloe and Patrick play the game on a regular basis, and like most siblings someone is always "cheating" lol.  But when they are not busy arguing they have a GREAT time playing it. The only problem I have found is that the little game pawns, which are made of cardboard and slide into a little plastic stand, are not very durable they start to bend and then don't stand straight. So I used a little bit of electrical tape around the bottoms to support them. Other than that still a good classic game. Fun for children about kindergarten age and up. Easy set up. Easy rules to follow.

Cosco Playard, Born to be Wild review

Well Seth is breastfed, so he was a co-sleeper with us for quite a few months. But around 5 months my hubby was wanting "our" bed back. So off to find a new bed for baby Seth, we don't really have a lot of room in our bedroom and we are not quite ready to move him in with his brothers yet. So we had to find something smaller than a crib but bigger than his bassinet(he used maybe one time). A trip to the Walmart baby section was in store.  And wah lah, there were the pack in plays. They were just about the perfect size for our little man. So we picked out the Cosco Playard, Born To Be Wild. It was only $36.63 which was a great price, I had been looking on classified sites earlier that day to see if there were any gently used pack and plays or cribs and they wanted at least $50 or more for all of the used ones. Plus you can't beat the jungle theme(I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE elephants!). So we bought it and brought it home, got to the front porch and decided to try it out. Was pretty easy to remove from the box, and there really wasn't much to the set up. Just unstrap the Velcro from the padding part and then pull up on the middle handle, then pull in the middle of each side to secure the side bars(which used to be extremely hard) guess they have improved the clasp things since the last baby *YAY*. Then all that was left was to put the padding part inside and it was all ready for baby. So in goes Seth, who has no idea what to think of the new contraption, but soon starts to explore, pressing his baby face against the edges and looking out at mommy and daddy, giggling cause he can see us. So I would say that the Cosco Playard was a good investment. It is a very basic play yard, no storage pockets, or changing tables, or extra doodads, but for what it is, it is very good. I would recommend it to anyone who is just looking for a simple basic pack and play. Or for a temporary sleeping unit.

See very basic, but it has elephants!!

Bright Starts, Bounce Bounce Baby Review

Ok here it goes, my first product review. The Bounce Bounce Baby seat made by Bright Starts, We purchased the seat from Walmart a few months ago for our baby boy Seth. The jungle theme on it is really cute. It has quite a few toys attached to keep baby occupied, there is a monkey that spins, a lion that you can turn, a mirror on the back of a tree, a giraffe a spinning sun with beads inside of it, a rubbery plant looking thing(was Seth's fave when his 2 bottom teeth were comeing in) and a little purple hook thing to add more toys too, beware of the purple hook thing though, because its not very soft and baby sometimes hits his head off of it. It does not come fully assembled, but it was not too hard to figure out. The bottom bounce part is adjustable to 3 different sizes. It is fairly easy to clean. The overall quality is very good. And as for the fun factor, I think Seth would give it a 4.5 star rating.

oh yeah I forgot to mention pricing the first time around we payed $33.23 for this item. Well worth the money! The only thing I can find to complain about would be the little purple hook. although in the picture I posted it seems the hook is orange.

My First Blog

Ok well this is my first blog ever. I am a wife, and a mother to five beautiful children. My goal is to help other parents find good quality products that they can trust. I plan on doing that by writing reviews on all the things I have used for my children. But before I start on reviews I thought I would let you all know a little about who I am. I am a 27 year old mother of 5, My oldest daughter is chloe, she is 8. Then there is Patrick who just turned 6, and my twins Abigale and Chandler who will be 4 in August. Last but not least is my baby boy Seth who will be 8 months old in a couple of days. I am a stay at home mom, for anyone who thinks that being a stay at home mom is easy, it is just as hard as going to a regular 9-5 job, maybe harder. you don't get weekends off, you don't get to punch out on a time clock and call it quits. You are on call 24/7. My husband Tim and I have been together for 12 years now, and married for almost 7. He works outside of the home. We reside in Arizona, Live right next door to my Mom and my Brother his wife and their 4 boys. So my kids get to spend a lot of time with their cousins. We moved here about 2 and a half years ago from NH, that is where Tim is from.
I enjoy reading, writing, playing games, music, cooking and spending quality time with my family. Everyone always says that I don't know how to cook for only a few people, cause I always cook enough for an army :) I always say its better to have to much than not enough! Can't have anybody going hungry!
Well that's all I have time to write for now, but I hope people will enjoy my blogs, and that I will be able to provide helpful information. Bye for now :)
